ISLAMABAD, July 20 (Xinhua) -- At least 4 policemen were killed while two others sustained injuries in an attack on a police mobile in northwestern Pakistan's Peshawar on Monday, local police said. Police said that the unknown militants attacked the police mobile when it was on a routine patrolling at Sarband area in the outskirts of Peshawar, the capital city of the North West Frontier Province (NWFP). Two policemen including a sub inspector were killed on the spot while two injured policemen died on their way to hospital. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for the treatment. As the repatriation process of the internally displaced persons(IDPs) of Malakand Division, due to the army operations against Taliban militants, have entered in a decisive phase as on Sunday a total of 11,715 families left for Buner and Swat districts from various relief camps in NWFP, the security situation in the conflict-ridden northwest is still unstable and fragile. Last week, an official of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) was killed in a firing in Peshawar. The gunmen fled after the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
